LET THE GAMES BEGIN
Welcome to the GCHS Healthy Lifestyle Challenge! I hope that during the next six weeks we will all develop at least one new healthy habit but even beyond that, my hope is that we can build into eachother, encourage one another, have fun and positively change the culture around here! Let's use this blog to share stories, ideas or examples of random acts of kindness, health tips, successes or defeats and words of encouragement. I will be posting pictures throughout the competition so if anyone captures a teammate at their best (or worst) email it to me and I will put it up on the blog. Most of all, I hope you all have fun during the Challenge! This may just be the start of an amazing annual event.
POINT SYSTEM
- Cardio workout 1 pt/15-30 min
- 2 pt/over 30 min
- Strength Training 1 pt/4-7 different exercises
- 2 pt/8+ different exercises
- Weight loss 1 pt/pound lost
- Weight Maintenance 1 pt/week maintained
- Fiber 1 pt/15-20 grams of fiber intake/day
- Water 1 pt/six 8 oz glasses water intake/day
- Sleep 1 pt/7 hours sleep/night
- Blood Pressure 10 points - one time only
- Stress Management 1 pt/15 minutes of relaxing activities

- Random Acts of Kindness 1 pt/RAK/day
- Bonus Questions 5 pts/team/week for answering the weekly

- Bonus Physical Challenge 5 pts/team/challenge
- Initiation Bonus 1 pt/team/first week only for recruiting
